Walking through the concrete jungle
Cat scampered brushing my ankle
Confusing me with strong palpitation of fear
Recognition dawned seeing dog on chase
The never ending race of this life
With puzzling roads created by men
Even animals were entrapped in this maze
Slaying their souls with an unknown craze

Suddenly flashed across my mind
The worn out path passing through woods
Natures blessing in disguise
to liberate the entrapped souls
I took the dog by its leash
Cradled the quivering cat in my arms
Took them through this forest
Where nature did its healing task
At the end of the path I let the cat down
And saw the dog standing still
For a moment I thought I had failed
Nature’s healing I failed to interpret

But then smile spread on my face
When I saw Dog cuddle the cat
They had felt the soothing touch
Liberating them to true life of love
They may be the enemies as perceived by men
Now companions who cherished themselves
