Looking at the graveyard space
Rows of tombs so called at peace
Defining the finality of life
Nothing left to wish at least

There was an eerie feeling down my spine
A fluttering of heart which was undefined
Holding me to ground steadfast
Thousands thoughts clamber my mind

Tombs replaced the human life
Not giving any indication or sight
Of what the human led as a life
Except few words which make crypt shine

How many dreams are buried unfulfilled
Disgruntled souls who wanted to live
How many colours of life ending out here
Hiding behind the grey of sepulchre

Some souls who left opulence of heart behind
Some who left beloved all alone to cry
Some who had lived their lives to utmost
some who had never got an option even once

all silent and harbouring wishes unknown
making me aware the futility of life
tomorrow is anonymous what may come
why waste today trying to predict unknown
