I was alone
Floating through life
With the rides of joy and cry
Was always in a crowd
alone, me , myself
not really lonely
as never knew
time of being together
You entered my life
Never thought of being alone then on
In your presence or in your absence
I was never alone again
When you were not physically with me
You were always there in my thoughts
Your laughter coaxed me
Your twinkling eyes enchanted me
In the room full of people
I was in solitude with you and your love
not alone
not lonely too
as I knew you existed
being apart you too were at once with my thoughts
and that intangible link we had
which never made us feel lonely
you were always present within me
Now after four decades
That tangible link is gone
Some say you still live within me
But my heart craves for you
Then I had strength of reassurance
of your physical existence
And now
I know you wont be coming back ever again
Your soul has reached peace
Leaving me with just the feel of that intangible feelings
My heart is now not ready to be in solitude
It is lonely
And once again
I am alone.

A lovely poem...alone, solitude, lonely...it is a flow of life right...
Yes the last part of the poem speaks of the agony ...but in a way tell me the physical prsence is not there ....but the memories do make up for that I know it is hard but love never goes away it becomes a part of you...and the physical presence is not essential to love someone right...
